  • 1915: Born in Syracuse.
  • 1931 - 1933: Attended St. Lucy’s Academy, outstanding basketball and baseball player.
  • 1933 - 1935: Attended Dean Academy.
  • 1935 - 1937: Attended Niagara University.
  • 1942 : Served in World War II.
  • 1943 : Started his coaching career
  • 1943 : St. Patrick’s – Parochial League Championship
  • 1953-1954 :St. Lucy’s Academy – first Parochial League team to go undefeated in regular season and playoffs.
  • 1954: St. Lucy’s – League and Playoff champs; Compiled 25 consecutive wins over a two-year span.
  • 1958-1971: St. John the Baptist – won five League Championships.
  • 1962 : Won League and Playoffs.
  • 1963: Won League, Playoff, City / Diocesan titles – first team ever to win "Grand Slam"
  • 1961-1963 : Coach his team to 33 consecutive winning games.
  • 1971: Voted Central New York referees’ "Man of the Year"
  • 1992: Received the Blind Men and Criers annual “John Arcaro Coaches Award” given to the high school coach who have been recognized for outstanding success in their sport.
  • First father/son combination to be inducted into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame. Jim Satlin is in the class of 1999
