  • 1884 : Born August 22, Syracuse, New York.
  • 1899-1905: Member of the Syracuse Heralds, Long Branch, Pastimes and Havanas semi-pro baseball teams.
  • 1906: Lead the Syracuse Heralds over Boston Americans (Red Sox) to a 7 - 3 victory.
  • 1900: Began his bowling career.
  • 1900 - 1912 : Established a bowling record never duplicated, won individual average record for the city league each year,
  • Won individual Syracuse City bowling titles in 1908 - 1910
  • 1915: Captain of Syracuse bowling team that won the NYS team championship in 1908, 1909, and 1915.
  • 1902: Debut at American Bowling Congress tournament.
  • 1903 : Member of Amsterdam Johnstown and Gloversville NY State leagues.
  • 1906: Rolled a 299 in state league contest vs. Utica.
  • 1907: Paired with Charles Latterner to win the Interstate Two-Man championship in Buffalo, New York.
  • 1911 - 1912: Member of the Rochester Hustlers NY State league.
  • Bernie Maurer was considered to be the best bowler in Syracuse and also was considered to be one of the best bowlers in the United States. In 1912, Bernie was rated as the number two bowler in the U.S. while Jimmy Smith of New York City was rated as the number one bowler. For two years, they traveled around the country together putting on exhibition matches.
  • 1913: Made U.S.A. tour paired with Jimmy Smith, won 15 of 18 series and averaged 210 in 101 games in Chicago exhibition.
  • 1914 - 1915: Syracuse City team champion member.
  • 1915 : Rolled 3 game total of 776 to lead NY State league.
  • 1917 : Won individual average contest held in CNY, won Elks Inter-City league title with mark of 214.
  • 1922 - 1923 : Bowled with "Maurers" losing only one match of the season, represented Syracuse in ABC’s in Milwaukee.
  • 1923 : Opened Maurers Recreation Alleys with Baill Shail.
