  • 1928-1930 CBA basketball and baseball teams
  • 1930 CBA basketball team; won city championship over Rosary and captured the Eastern States Catholic High School title at Pittsfield, Mass.
  • 1930 Played Pro Basketball in the New York State League
  • 1931 Coached the Central City Business basketball team; 16 wins and 2 losses
  • 1932-1933 Basketball coach at Powelson Institute
  • 1934-1936 Basketball coach at St. John the Baptist.
  • Won the Parochial League Championship and Diocesan Championships with St. John's
  • 1941 Coached basketball at St. Anthony’s
  • 1942 Coached basketball at St. Vincent’s
  • 1943-1946 Head coach of the Santa Anita Army basketball team; ranked 2nd in collegiate basketball.
  • High rated Intercollegiate Association basketball official appointed by Bushnell Eastern intercollegiate Association Director of Athletics to officiate games in Buffalo Auditorium.
  • Recommended by Bushnell to be one of two official to handle the California Junior College Championship Game.
  • A founding member and past president of the Blind Men and Criers Marching and Chower Society.
  • 1980’s Honorary member of the Collegiate Basketball Officials Association
  • 1981 Recipient of the "Joe Schwarzer Award" from Blind Men and Criers
  • 1989 Received the Blind Men and Criers annual “Edward J Kearney Award” given to the individual who has given back to the Syracuse community.
  • One of the few coaches to win both City and Parochial Championship.
  • Coached three major sports at the high school level in Syracuse. Baseball, basketball & football.
  • Past board member of the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame.
  • Board of Directors of CBA. Recipient of "letters of Affiliation" and affiliated brother. CBA’s highest honor Convinces CBA to relocate to Randall Road.
  • 1987 Helped open CBA to female student.
  • Donor of CBA’s "John Lynch Trophy" to be given to outstanding senior basketball players.
  • Former Board Member of the CYO, past Board Member of S.U. Orange Pack and Varsity Club. Member of Ernie Davis and Dave Bing Clubs. Member of Onondaga Gold and Country Club Cavalry Club and Golfing Cavaliers.
  • 1986 Formed the John Lynch Realty Company. Board Member of the United Fund, Hill Haven Nursing Home, Brighton Towers and St. Joseph’s Hospital
  • 1990 - Received The Purple and Gold Award, given by the Christian Brothers Academy Alumni Association
  • 2000 Inducted into the inaugural class of the LaSallian Sports Hall of Fame at Christian Brothers Academy
  • 2004 Inducted into the Northside Hall of Fame
  • Died - June 23, 2005
